Audubon's Center for Birds of Prey

Located in Maitland, Florida is a sanctuary for raptors.  Injured or orphaned birds of prey are brought to the center to be cared for by avian experts.  Once rehabilitated, the birds are set free.

Audubon of Florida's Mission:  To conserve, protect, and restore Florida's natural resources and to create a conservation ethic among all Floridians.
On our recent visit, we saw eagles, falcons, hawks, peregrines, and my favorite - owls!  Beautiful barred owls, gorgeous barn owls, and adorable screech owls were the highlights for me.  This extraordinary sanctuary is a perfect escape to enjoy a peaceful, yet fascinating afternoon.
